Konecranes Business Unit Mobile Harbour Cranes (see main article) has come up with advanced drive concept that combines Konecranes hybrid
technology with electrostatic short-term energy storage media (ultracaps) and a downsized (625 kW) diesel engine. For compliance with EPA Tier 4F and future EU Stage V, the engine can be set up with an SCR exhaust treatment system.
