Brookfield to buy Triton for US$4.7B

Brookfield Infrastructure Partners is to acquire Triton, the world’s largest container leasing company, with a fleet of over 7M TEU and will take the company private. The cash and stock transaction values Triton’s common equity at approximately US$4.7B, while the total enterprise value of the deal is approximately US$13.3B. Brookfield will assume Triton’s debt, which stood at over US$8B at the end of 2022.
