Mobile computing solutions provider Psion Teklogix has launched Psion Omni, a highly modular mobile computing platform that the company claims is a “strategic landmark”. Mobile computers are typically sold as off-the-shelf products, but Omni will give Psion, its resellers and developer partners the opportunity to create more adaptable solutions.

Panasonic Toughbooks are widely used in the field by the US Government and Marine Corps, but Panasonic gained its first exposure to the port market recently when APMT approached it looking for a thin client tablet PC to run specially developed screens from Navis SPARCS at its Portsmouth Virginia Terminal.
