ABB for MVII
NewsAPM Terminals has chosen to continue with the ABB crane automation system for its MVII expansion.
The market for optical character recognition (OCR) systems for port gate facilities has not been as hard hit by the recession as might have been expected, Though some projects have been delayed, a number of new installations have been announced recently.
Camco Technologies, for example, has secured a new contract to implement its automated rail gate system, TrainGate, at PSA HNN’s CHZ terminal in Zeebrugge, Belgium. TrainGate will replace manual inspections with a “centralised inspection and validation process via a unique graphical train operator interface,” Camco said in a statement.
