The Egyptian Port Training Institute (PTI), based in Alexandria and an affiliate of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, reports that to date 644 port workers from Egypt, Kuwait, Sudan and Morocco have trained on its container gantry crane simulator, which is believed to be the only one of its kind in the Arab world.
