GDV (Gesamtverband der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft), the German transport insurance association, claims in a new handbook that up to 70 percent of all damage to containers can be avoided. The massive book (1248 pages), co-written by various experts, deals with all kinds of damage to containers and various ways and methods of securing cargoes inside them.
