Optimisation for SAGT

SAGT at Colombo has turned to Navis for optimsation and analytics services to get the most out of its N4 TOS.

Optimisation for SAGT

South Asia Gateway Terminals Ltd (SAGT) has announced an agreement to utilise Navis’ optimisation and analytics services to help prepare for further growth. SAGT has been using Navis software for almost 20 years and the strategic agreement, signed at Navis World, builds on that relationship so SAGT can “get even more from Navis N4 to automate and optimize key components of their operations,” Navis stated.


Speaking with WorldCargo News, Bruce Jacquemard, Chief Customer Officer at Navis said the project includes software to optimise terminal tractor scheduling and travel, stacking in the RTG yard, inter-terminal transfers and control room operations.


Optimisation is complex and Navis works with terminals, Jacquemard continued, to examine the operation and make recommendations for where its optmisation tools could deliver tangible, measurable benefits, based on previous use cases. At SAGT Navis will have a team on site to configure the modules and support the implementation. The project includes KPI measurement and analytics using the Navis BI Portal that will allow SAGT to measure the outcomes.
