Rail route expands cold chain to China
Finland’s Nurminen Logistics laid claim to being “the first in Europe to transport temperature-controlled foods by freight train to China” when it loaded a reefer container onto a train at Narvik in Norway for Chongqing in China this month. The cargo was frozen pork, mainly pig heads, from Finnish producer Atria.
