Sri Lanka is trying to attract investors to build a new basin and 10 container berths at the Port of Colombo to transform it into a hub port for South Asia.

Singapore’s PSA Corp and Malaysia’s Westport are among companies that could invest as much as US$300 mill in Colombo, said Arjuna Mahendran, chairman of Sri Lanka’s Board of Investment.
