China-based port machinery manufacturer HuNan AxePower (Axepower) has delivered a reach stacker to the Kuching Port Authority in Malaysia. Kuching Port Authority (KPA) operates in Sarawak, Malaysia, and oversees terminals including Senari, Pending, and Biawak, with Senari terminal primarily focused on container operations.

The TR45 has a lifting capacity of 45t and includes an “intelligent anti-tipping protection” system, load weighing, and an automatically resetting spreader.

Axepower’s CEO, Darren Feng, shared the news on his social media, highlighting the delivery as a key milestone. Earlier in September, the company announced its plans to introduce new products, including lithium battery-powered electric reach stackers.

In addition to reach stackers, Axepower’s product portfolio includes container rotating spreaders, electromagnetic spreaders for handling steel, and container tilting forklifts. The Container Rotating Spreader, designed for handling bulk materials from 20-foot open-top containers, is compatible with 45t reach stackers. It can lift up to 38t containers, offering an efficient solution for transferring bulk materials and reducing waste during the dumping process. The spreader also features a water mist system and high-strength canvas to minimise dust generation during operations.
