ZPMC delivers hybrid RTGs to Salalah

Five STS cranes and two RTGs were delivered to Kribi Deepwater Port, Cameroon, for its Phase II expansion, set for completion in 2024.
Africa Global Logistics announced that on 12 September five STS cranes and two RTGs were delivered to the Kribi Deepwater Port, Cameroon, for the Phase II of the port’s terminal expansion.
Both STS and RMG cranes were manufactured and shipped by Chinese ZPMC.
The STS units have a SWL of 65t, an outreach of 61m, and a 30m gauge. The lift height is 42m.
The RTGs have a SWL of 41t, a loading profile of 6+1 rows wide and a stacking height of one-over-six. The two units are part of a total order of 15 RTGs, with 13 RTGs being dispatched at the beginning of September.
The Kribi Deepwater Port project was built by China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC). As part of Phase II, set for completion in 2024, the port is expanding its total area by 30 hectares and adding a 700-metre quay with a 16-metre draught. Equipment for the expansion includes the five STS cranes and 15 RTGs.
The Port of Kribi in Cameroon, managed by a consortium of CHEC, Africa Global Logistics, CMA CGM, and local Cameroonian companies, officially opened in March 2018.
