Another Gottwald crane for Genoa Port Terminal

Spinelli Group has signed an agreement with Konecranes Gottwald for a 10th Gottwald mobile harbour crane for its multipurpose Genoa Port Terminal

There are already nine Gottwald MHCs at GPT. The new crane, representing an investment of €4M, is a model 8 crane in the G HMK 8610 variant, and it is due to arrive in Genoa in March. One of the existing cranes at GPT is also a G HMK 8610, delivered in November 2016.

 

Maximum lift capacity is 150 tonnes and maximum outreach is 56m, with a maximum hoisting speed of 100 m/min.

 

"The new acquisition confirms our investment plan aimed at further strengthening the scope and quality of our service offer," stated Spinelli Group, which as taken on more dockers in the past years as throughput has increased.
