OCR and process automation specialist Camco has been selected by Multiterminals, an integrated logistics company in Brazil, to provide automation systems for Rio de Janeiro ’s Container Terminal 2, which Multiterminals operates as MultiRio.

“Camco Technologies will provide Gate In as well as Gate Out truck OCR portal for automated truck, container and trailer registration. Gate Automation Solution enables terminals to automate the processing and validation of truck and container data, and at the same time obtain hi-res images for condition recording of trucks and cargo. Truck and light vehicle lanes will be equipped with kiosks, traffic light and barrier. The automated gate solution comes with a Gate Operating System (GOS) all necessary OCR software applications and an SLA agreement for continuous remote support,” Camco announced.
