Softbox Systems has acquired TP3 Global, enlarging its presence in the passive temperature control and thermal protection products field

Cold chain packaging merger

Softbox Systems, a leading provider of cold chain packaging systems for the pharmaceutical industry ("Silverpod Pallet Shippers"), has acquired TP3 Global, which manufactures ‘SilverSkin’ thermal protection covers for the pharmaceutical industry, with operations in the Americas, EMEA, South Asia and Asia Pacific. Both companies are UK-based.

"The combined portfolio of industry-leading passive temperature control packaging systems and thermal protection products will reinforce both companies’ ability to support their customers’ requirements for cold chain packaging solutions, and further expand ability to provide critical technical support on a global basis," said Softbox.

Last November Softbox opened a new manufacuring facility in The Netherlands, in association with Kingspan Unidek. In December the Bucks, UK-based company appointed Clive Bryant as Global Business Development Director.
