In recent years, Den Hartogh Logistics has expanded and joining forces with Sweden-based Bulkcon further extends its European network in the Nordics and "means that Den Hartogh can benefit from the company’s extensive knowledge and experience of operating in the Nordics and internationally."

The move indicates a reorientation of Den Hartogh's business focus. Just two weeks ago, it sold its European depot and tank cleaning services business to Boasso Global, part of of Quality Distribution, Inc.

“We consider Den Hartogh’s acquisition of Bulkcon to be a very good step in continuing to satisfy our customers' transport needs in both the European and Global markets,” said Thomas Nordbeck, Chairman of the Board, Bulkcon Transport AB.

“It has been a pleasure doing business with Bulkcon trough the years," said Den Hartogh Group Managing Director Pieter Den Hartogh. "After many years of successful collaboration with this Swedish partner, we will continue to enhance our activities from the existing Den Hartogh office in Gothenburg. Our combined team is convinced that we can further develop our footprint in the Nordics and increase overall customer satisfaction.”

Bulkcon focuses its logistics services on petrochemical and foods industries. In addition to international and local transportation, it offers storage solutions in tank containers.
