Having led the way in developing the world’s biggest hydraulic crane, the 300 series aimed at port operations, Mantsinen Group has also paid attention to the other end of the scale and has introduced the 60 series, even more compact than its 70 series
The Mantsinen 60, says the company, will set new lifetime expectancy for material handling machines in 60-70 tons category.
"We have an outstanding offering for large-capacity machines, and now we are aiming to offer our clients something more targeted and tailored for especially round-wood and scrap handling," said Tapio Pirinen, Vice President for Mantsinen Material Handling Machinery.
"Nowadays more is not necessarily more in material handling, but the key factor seems to be the combination of optimal features for the task at hand and long lifetime expectancy for the machine."
The Mantsinen 60, he continues, carries all the operation-proven Mantsinen qualities in a condensed package and it comes equipped with the Mantsinen Telematics Systems (MTS) as standard.
"It is optimised for mid-scale material handling," said Pirinen. "We want to offer operation-specific solutions for our customers."
For Mantsinen the main advantage compared to their competitors is its strong experience in hands-on material handling. That gives the company a head start in machine and attachment R&D and consulting sales.
In the round wood field, for example, Mantsinen Logistics Services has over the years handled more than 500M tons, which Mantsinen argues creates an unbeatable foundation to its proposals. "We know exactly which specific demands and challenges our clients face, and we can offer solutions to their challenges," Pirinen concluded.
The new Mantsinen 60 can be seen live in Bauma 2019 in Munich, April 8th–14th.
