Port of Liverpool coming up on the rails
Peel Ports has partnered with the UK’s largest rail freight company, DB Cargo UK, to provide a new rail service for containers via the Port of Liverpool for the first time. Although Freightliner provides services to/from Garston (near Liverpool), these are mainly aimed at moving Liverpool o/d traffic over other sea ports, although the new arrangements with DB Cargo could challenge Freightliner’s Garston-Coatbridge offering
