RTG automation takes off in Japan

The US and Japan are moving much closer together as the US looks to move quickly to remove China as a supplier of infrastructure and other systems it deems as critical infrastructure and/or a cyber security risk.

Japanese OEM records a 48.8% increase in orders received by its Logistics Systems business as large RTG orders roll in.

The new cranes were manufactured by ZPMC at its Nantong facility in China. They will join eight other ARTGs ZPMC previously delivered to YICT.

The Port of Salalah has taken delivery of the first four cranes in a series of 10 super-post panamax STS cranes being manufactured by ZPMC. The remaining cranes will arrive at Oman’s largest container port in Q2 2024 with all units fully commissioned in the third quarter of the year.
