Le Havre, France: Hervé Cornède, up to now Executive Director, has been appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of SOGET (Société de Gestion des Terminaux Informatiques). He has taken over from Gilles Paumier, who has retired after 29 years of service to the company. Julien Prével, Head of Human Resources and Jérôme Steinlé, Head of Administration and Finance, were also appointed as new Members of the Executive Board. Muriel Folliot-Olivier, Secretary General, continues as Vice-Chairman of the Board.
Metro Ports has announced the appointment of Robert Dickey as its new President. Dickey will have oversight responsibility for all Metro Ports operations domestic and international. Metro Ports companies include, but are not limited to: Metropolitan Stevedore Co, Suderman Contracting Stevedores (non-cruise), Southeast Crescent Shipping Company, Great Lakes Stevedoring LLC, and Metro Ports Canada Ltd. Dickey will report to Metro Ports’ COO Michael Giove.

Zurich, Switzerland: CEVA Logistics has appointed Serge Corbel as its new CFO, replacing Peter Waller, who is leaving the group. The appointment was made to "bring CEVA to the next level" in its growth strategy. CEVA went public in May this year and Waller’s main task has, therefore, been fulfilled, said CEVA. The appointment of Corbel, who has a logistics background rather than a capital markets background, was announced just a few days before CEVA rejected a CHF1.53B (US$1.53B) takeover bid from Danish freight forwarding group DSV, saying that the bid undervalued the company.
Netherlands-based Damen Shipyards Group has appointed Chiel de Leeuw to the newly-created position of Sales Director, RoPax. This marks an important step in Damen’s strategy to expand into the design and build of larger, one-off vessels in the offshore, cruise and ro-pax sectors. Chiel will be responsible for creating new business in the ro-ro and ro-pax markets for vessels over 120m long.
Singapore: RFID specialist Invengo Technology Pte Ltd has appointed Albert Wu, a British national, as Chief Executive Officer of its international business unit. Before joining Invengo, he held various senior executive positions with a number of leading high-tech companies such as HP, Huawei, Philips Semiconductor and IBM EMEA. He was appointed CEO of Biiteca Culture Technology (Shenzhen) Co Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Invengo Information Technology, in March 2017.
