Tie up will integrate Globe Tracker’s reefer monitoring solution with TSB’s Cloud based stowage planning system.
Terminal and carrier software specialist Total Soft Bank Ltd. (TSB) and IoT tracking and monitoring supplier Globe Tracker have announced they are working together to integrate their solutions for the maritime industry.
“TSB’s Cloud CASP is a leading solution for Stowage planning and Globe Tracker’s GT Sense a leading IoT solution for remote reefer monitoring and control will be integrated to provide real time reefer data visibility onboard vessels and in the cloud,” the companies said in a joint statement.
"We are excited about the integration with TSB, as it will allow for all reefer data to be integrated with vessel stowage planning in a single view for our joint customers," said Don Miller, V.P. Sales and Marketing at Globe Tracker.
"TSB recognizes Globe Tracker as a leader in terms of technology and innovation in the maritime smart container space. This integration has many benefits for both our products and demonstrates a solid level of interoperability between platforms that is being asked for more and more in our industry," added Arnold Kang, Chief Operating Officer at Total Soft Bank Ltd.
The companies said they will “begin to trial this solution with customers starting in Q4 2019”. This suggests that a large carrier might be planning to use install Globe Tracker’s monitoring system on its reefer containers. TSB has previously claimed a 35% share of the stowage planning market with CASP, and several of its customers are understood to be planning to make the transition to Cloud CASP, the newer cloud-based version.
