Schenker, part of Stinnes Logistic (DB AGgroup), has taken a concession on an 18.5 hectare parcel at the Port of Trieste’s Scalo Lengami (Timber Terminal), with full access to the 345m long quay, which has a depth of 11m alongside. Most of the terminal is occupied by warehouses and distribution centres.

Schenker is aiming the terminal at flows of forest products and other conventional/neo-bulk moving between Asia and Austria/southern Germany/central and south eastern Europe), taking advantage of improvements in rail and road connections to the northern Adriatic port.
