The South African government has announced transport spending plans for the next three years, including a commitment to invest R2 bill (€250 mill) in the port sector. The spending commitments, which were published last month, are designed to overcome bottlenecks in the country’s transport infrastructure which, it says, the private sector has so far proved unable or unwilling to tackle.
