Contecon Guayaquil S.A. (CGSA), the Ecuadorian division of ICTSI, has secured a three-year partnership with COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers.

In Ecuador, the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) has made available a series of documents to the national Supervisory Commission, which is looking into the concession granted to Chile’s Agunsa (Agencias Universales SA), in respect of the operation of the Port of Manta. The Commission is currently investigating a series of irregularities across a number of such issues countrywide.

Chinese LED lighting specialist BiNY has announced a contract to provide its Industrial Internet of Lights (IIoL) for DP World’s new Posorja deepwater terminal in Ecuador. The project will be the first time that BiNY has supplied its ‘one-stop-shop’ LED lighting solution to DP World.
