Twelve domestic and foreign consulting engineering firms have submitted bids to India’s Kandla Port Trust (KPT) to carry out a feasibility study for a new container terminal at Tuna-Tekra on the coast of Gujarat state.

“A container terminal is being planned near Tuna port off Tekra under a public private partnership (PPP) model,” said a senior KPT official. “We have invited bids for technical advisers to undertake a feasibility study at the location.”
