Landmark duo for San Vicente

Russia’s Commercial Seaport of Vladivostok (VMTP, part of FESCO Transportation Group – now state-owned through Rostam) is increasing its fleet of cargo handling equipment and upgrading its infrastructure.

Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (Mitsui E&S) has received a substantial order for container handling equipment from the Port of Haiphong Joint Stock Company in Vietnam.

Siemens Crane Competence Center for the Europe Middle East and Africa region based in Portugal has now carried out modernisation and digitisation work on 100 port cranes in 13 countries. Currently the company is working on projects in the ports of Leixões and Setúbal, Portugal, Taranto (Italy) and Salalah (Oman).

The production of yard cranes in 2023 was in line with previous years, but the orderbook was much stronger than usual. As expected, ZPMC’s share of the RTG market continued to decline.

Mobile harbour cranes retain their universal popularity and suppliers are responding to market demand for cleaner machines.

Modena (Italy)-based port equipment broker Port Supplies Srl has recently transferred four mobile harbour cranes (MHCs) to and within the Mediterranean. Historically, the region is home to one of the densest populations of MHCs in the world and it is an established and ready market for pre-owned cranes.
