Duqm set for 2020

A new container terminal being developed at the port of Duqm, Oman, is scheduled to open in early 2020. The new facility will have an initial capacity to handle 200,000 TEU a year, but will have the footprint, including a 2.2 km quay, to handle as many as 3.5M TEU. The speed with which this capacity is phased into operation will depend on demand.
