Maersk buys into Höegh Autoliners

AP Møller-Maersk A/S has acquired a 37.5% stake in Höegh Autoliners from Leif Höegh & Co. Simultaneously, Höegh Autoliners has acquired AP Moller-Maersk’s fleet of 18 car carriers (including six newbuildings), which will join its existing fleet under the Höegh Autoliners brand.

Closing of the transaction is expected to take place next month once applicable regulatory approvals have been received.
