Germany-based Beluga Shipping has made commercial shipping history with a successful negotiation of the Northern Sea route – a first for a non-Soviet/Russian surface vessel.

The line delivered modules destined for a power plant in Surgut from Ulsan via the Bering Strait, the Sannikov Strait and the Vilkizki Strait in the East Siberian Sea to Noviy Port (Yamburg) in the delta of the River Ob.
