Some of Canada’s remotest first nations communities in the Arctic Circle are at risk of losing a vital service that brings them their annual shipments of necessities, including food, fuel and building materials. After the Northern Transportation Company Ltd (NTCL) went into creditor protection earlier this year, it has not been able to find a buyer for its assets.
