Antwerp handled 2% less conventional breakbulk cargo in 2016 than 2015, at 9.8 Mt. This was better than the 9.1% fall in the port’s volume of dry bulk, but worse than the 4.1% rise in the number of containers handled, which broke through the 10M TEU barrier for the first time.
