Eurotunnel’s rail freight “relaunch” bid

Eurotunnel is to slash tolls for through rail freight trains by 50% next year, in a bid to breathe new life into this dying business. The average toll (ie for a 120 kph, offpeak path) will be £3000 (€4500 per train), compared to the 2007 average price of £5300 (€8000).
