British rail freight “to double by 2030”

New forecasts of demand for rail freight to 2015 and 2030 have been published jointly by two British transport associations, the Rail Freight Group (RFG) and the Freight Transport Association (FTA). The participation of the FTA is particularly important as the organisation represents shippers’ transport interests and has no particular axe to grind in favour of rail.
