Another monthly record for JNPA
NewsIn August 2024, India’s Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) set a new record by handling 639,336 TEU.
Container cargo moved by rail in India is expected to rise 16-fold over the next three years, according to a report by Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC) and SSKI Securities.
The prediction comes amid plans by state-run Container Corporation of India (Concor) and 16 private operators to raise capacity by 60% by 2012, which will see volumes increase from 60mt to 97mt.
