City Deep upgrade

The inland port of City Deep in Johannesburg is to benefit from investment of nearly ZAR1B over the next three years. The improvement works will involve the City of Johannesburg spending at least ZAR100M on road and access improvements and Transnet Freight Rail (TFR), which owns/operates the facility, over ZAR900M on upgrading the facility and raising its container handling capacity.
