Tanzania rail deal secured

A Turkish-Portuguese coalition has beaten 15 engineering groups, including four from China, and secured further important rail modernisation contracts in Tanzania. The East African country is in the midst of expanding its rail network so that a much larger number of passengers and higher volume of freight can be moved across the country faster.
