Tanzania secures SGR secondstage funding from UK bank

The Tanzanian Government has secured US$1.46B in funding from Standard Chartered, the UK-based banking group. The money will be used to support the construction of the second stretch (426 km) of the country’s high-speed standard gauge rail (SGR) network. This stage will connect Morogoro and Makutupora in the country’s Dodoma region.
