US Army to spend $22.8 billion on civil works
NewsFunding for the Corps of Engineers in FY2022 includes dredging and coastal protection work for east and gulf coast ports.
The California Transportation Commission (CTC) has voted to provide US$10M from the state’s Trade Corridor Improvement Fund towards the project to deepen the Port of Sacramento’s 43-mile ship channel from 30ft to 35ft. The project is estimated to cost US$80M. The Port will provide US$10M and is seeking US$60M in federal funding through the US Army Corps of Engineers.
