Catena expands acquiring logistics facility near Copenhagen

News

Located six kilometers west of Copenhagen, the property covers 81,000 square meters, with development rights allowing construction of 17,500 square meters.

Catena is set to acquire a property in Hvidovre, Denmark, for DKK 420 million, excluding deferred taxes. The seller, Bulk Industrial Real Estate AS, and the tenant, Scan Global Logistics, are involved in the transaction.

This acquisition by Catena, a publicly listed Swedish property company, is expected to be finalized this month upon contract signing.

Situated just six kilometres west of the capital Copenhagen, the property spans an 81,000 square meter plot, with development rights enabling new construction equivalent to 17,500 square meters. The existing three buildings on the property offer a total lettable area of over 32,000 square meters.

“We look forward to good cooperation with our tenant Scan Global Logistics, which is a very well-regarded and expanding logistics player, and thanks to the development rights on the property, Catena is additionally able to offer future opportunities to establish a presence in the attractive Copenhagen region,” says Fredrik Renå, who is Regional Manager South and acting Regional Manager Denmark at Catena.

Danish company Scan Global Logistics, the current tenant, provides global transport and logistics solutions and operates in 45 countries. With an 11-year lease agreement in place, the estimated net operating surplus from this arrangement is approximately DKK 22.3 million.
