Duisburg Gateway Terminal launched
NewsThe Duisburg Gateway Terminal (DGT) has officially opened following the completion of its first construction phase.
The merger process is scheduled for completion by late August and will apply retroactively from January 1 2024.
The duisport-Gruppe, the port authority for the German Rhine-based port of Duisburg, is merging its three logistical service providing subsidiaries. duisport agency, duisport facility logistics and Bohnen Logistik are being amalgamated into duisport logistics & port services (dlps).
The services being provided feature: global intermodal transport concepts, container stuffing and stripping, contract logistics, road transport plus technical and terminal services.
“By creating this new single entity, we enable the entire operational spectre to be combined and to be able to offer our customers tailor-made, goal oriented solution”, duisport’s COO and CTO Lars Nennhaus is cited.

The new company will get a three-strong management, made-up of Volker Grzybowski, Julian Schneider and Peter van Ling. The trio will report to Lars Nennhaus. duisport logistics & port services will have two operational business units: ‘transport’ and ‘logistical services’.
In addition, ‘shared services‘ will support the two operational units.
