EPS sets sights on electric cargo vessels in Singapore

Eastern Pacific Shipping marked a significant milestone as it sealed two pivotal contract deals.
In a ceremony held in Shanghai on 28 February, the Singapore-based maritime company signed agreements with CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding and CSSC Guangzhou Shipbuilding International.
The first contract involves a series of Ammonia dual-fuel bulk carriers with CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding. This series comprises four vessels with a carrying capacity of 210,000 deadweight tons (dwt).
In addition, Eastern Pacific Shipping finalized a deal for a series of LNG dual-fuel oil tankers with CSSC Guangzhou Shipbuilding International. This agreement encompasses two vessels, each boasting a capacity of 111,000 dwt.
These contracts signify a significant expansion of Eastern Pacific Shipping’s fleet of environmentally friendly vessels.
