DP World to deploy OneStop’s Depot Operating System, OneStop Modal at its container park in Fisherman Island, Port of Brisbane.

DP World has joined forces with OneStop, a software company focusing on streamlining operations in global freight and logistics, to implement OneStop’s Depot Operating System, OneStop Modal, at its container park in Fisherman Island at the Port of Brisbane.

DP World will integrate OneStop’s Vehicle Booking System (VBS) to provide immediate insights into container movements, with the aim of making traffic flow management more efficient and reducing manual operations.

The partnership aims to bolster efficiency, visibility, and unlock untapped potential across the Oceania supply chain. It seeks to offer industry players an integrated and interconnected solution tailored to the Australian East Coast, addressing the increasing demand for container storage and handling capabilities.

“This partnership heralds a new era in logistics. It’s not just about setting new standards; it’s about fundamentally improving efficiency, sustainability, and visibility in the supply chain. We are not merely raising the bar; we are creating a platform for innovation to flourish, delivering tangible benefits to our customers,” Chris Harnett, Chief Commercial Officer at OneStop, said.

The implementation of OneStop’s VBS and OneStop Modal capabilities is set to take place at the DP World’s Fisherman Island Container Park on June 3, 2024.

DP World broke ground on its Brisbane Container Park on Fisherman Islands in December 2023. The venture, with partners from the Port of Brisbane, logistics real estate specialist LOGOS and homegrown construction firm McNab, is part of DP World’s ongoing efforts to expand its logistics capabilities in Australia and support the movement of goods end-to-end.

It extends DP World’s Depot Service offerings already present in Sydney and Melbourne. Once fully operational, the 10.4 hectare container park will provide cargo owners and liners operating in Australia’s east coast a one-stop-shop solution for storing and handling full and empty containers. It will feature Australia’s first two High Empty Reefer Pre-Trip Facilities as well as empty handlers capable of stacking up to eight containers.

The Fisherman’s Island Terminal offers stacking cranes, an advanced operating system and 900 metres of quayline.
