Associated British Ports (ABP) is understood to be preparing a bid for Simon Group’s ports division. This includes the succesful Humber Sea Terminal (HST) in South Killingholme which currently handles 17 vessel calls/week from Stena Line (Hook of Holland), Simon’s own CCTL (Hamburg) and Ferryways (Ostend). HST rivals ABP’s own terminal operations on the Humber. Its lockless access has proved a winner and the phase II plans have been at the top of Simon’s agenda.
