Mozambique government extends Maputo concession
NewsA contract extension of 25 years from 2033, and new investment aim to make Maputo an even stronger competitor to South African ports.
Following investments at Beira and Maputo, facilities at the Port of Nacala are to be modernised and improved over the next three years. Mozambique’s Transport Minister Tomas Salomao announced last month that private companies are to provide most of the required investment, although donor organisations will also contribute.
