Tacoma to deepen Blair Waterway
NewsThe Port of Tacoma has recently executed a design agreement with the US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) to carry out navigational improvements in the Blair Waterway.
International Transportation Service Inc (ITS), a member of the K Line Group, has reached an agreement in principle with the Port of Tacoma on major terms for the realignment of its terminal space and future expansion at the port.
Under the agreement, ITS’ existing Husky Terminal will shift from its current location at Terminal 7-D on the Sitcum Waterway to the Terminal 3/Terminal 4 area on the Blair Waterway. The port expects to complete the realignment, which has been made possible because Evergreen is moving to a new 237 acre terminal being built on the Blair Waterway, by spring of next year.
