Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) hopes to crank up commercial operations with APL due provisionally to call three times/ week. A similar deal is being negotiated with Maersk-Sealand for weekly calls by its inter-Asia feeder vessels.

The Phividec Industrial Authority (PIA) has declared International Container Terminal Services, Inc (ICTSI) as the winner of the bidding for the Mindanao Container Terminal in the southern Philippines. The 25-year concession agreement was finalised within 10 days after ICTSI received the notice of award on March 31. The PIA has not fixed a date for the handover.
