Ethiopia still looking

Since losing its ports following the secession of Eritrea, the government of landlocked Ethiopia has sought to secure access to other ports in the region. Mombasa is an option but there is no rail link between Addis Ababa and the distant Kenyan port, so closer alternatives have been considered.
