Big moves in Kingston

Kingston Wharves is progressing with its plan to set up a rival transhipment hub to Kingston Container Terminal and is seeking lines willing to invest. Chairman and CEO Grantley Stephenson says the long term aim is to develop a 3 mill TEU/year transhipment facility and the company is working on acquiring 50 acres behind its existing 65 acre terminal that are currently occupied by warehouses and other businesses.
