Matching the old with the new in Egypt
New investment has been put into Egypt’s established ports, such as Alexandria, but the biggest development in the country’s port sector is the construction of brand new facilities at either end of the Suez Canal. The development of the new Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT) at Port Said East at the northern end of the Canal has been matched by construction of Sokhna port to the south.
