Liverpool eyes Asia trade

The Port of Liverpool, part of Peel Ports, has thrown down the gauntlet to the British main ports of Southampton and Felixstowe – and to its own would -be northern and Midlands “gateway” competitors, PD Teesport and Bristol Port Company – by stating that it is targetting Asian o/d traffic at its new post-Panamax container terminal, which has now received the “go-ahead” from the UK government.
