Adani Ports to operate CT2 at Dar es Salaam Port
NewsAIPH has signed a 30-year deal with the Tanzania Ports Authority to manage Dar es Salaam’s Container Terminal 2, which handled 820,000 TEU in 2023.

Proposals for a new port to be located at Bagamoyo have been unveiled by the Tanzanian government. The town was a famous port on the east coast of Africa during the 19th century but is now practically unknown. However, its location in Pwani Province, the same province as Tanzania’s main port of Dar es Salaam, would leave it well-placed to serve much of the country if adequate rail links are put in place.
